This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity & Account Data: name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, password (stored in encrypted form), profile photo.
• Subscription & Payment Data: subscription plan chosen, transaction history, payment status, last 4 digits of card / masked UPI VPA. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PIN — these are handled directly by our payment partners.
• Device & Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser, app version, advertising identifier, time zone, language preference.
• Usage Data: content watched, watch history, search queries, ratings, watchlist, time spent, clicks, app interactions, crash logs.
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: session cookies, authentication tokens and local storage used to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
• Communications: messages you send us through email, support tickets, contact forms or in-app feedback.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and provide the streaming Service.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions and recurring AutoPay mandates.
• To personalise recommendations and content discovery.
• To send transactional emails (login OTP, payment receipts, subscription renewal alerts) and, with your consent, marketing communications.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, account sharing, content piracy and unauthorised access.
• To comply with legal obligations, court orders and lawful requests from authorities.
• To improve the Service through analytics on usage patterns and performance.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the following lawful bases under the DPDP Act: (a) your explicit consent provided at signup and at the time of payment; (b) performance of our contract with you (the subscription Service); (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service; and (d) compliance with applicable law.

4. Sharing & Disclosure of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary:

• Payment Gateways: Canara Bank / NDPS (NTT Data Payment Services), Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, PayStack, Instamojo, Braintree, PayHere, In-App Purchase providers — for processing payments and recurring mandates.
• Cloud, Hosting & CDN Providers: for storing your account data and delivering video content securely.
• Analytics & Crash-Reporting Providers: to understand usage and fix bugs (data is aggregated/pseudonymised where possible).
• Communication Providers: SMS, email and push-notification services for transactional and marketing communications.
• Legal Authorities: when required by valid Indian court order, subpoena, or to defend our legal rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations. Transaction records are retained for at least 8 (eight) years as required under Indian law. You may request deletion at any time as described in Section 7.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security practices including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, password hashing, restricted access controls and periodic security reviews to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure; you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.

7. Your Rights (under DPDP Act, 2023)

• Right to access: request a summary of personal data we hold about you.
• Right to correction & erasure: request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent for processing at any time (this may limit your ability to use the Service).
• Right to grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see Section 12). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
• Right to nominate: nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children below 18 (eighteen) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. A parent or legal guardian who becomes aware that their child has provided personal data without consent should contact us immediately for deletion.

9. Cookies

We use first-party cookies and local storage for authentication, session management and remembering your preferences. We may use limited third-party analytics cookies to measure usage and improve the Service. You may disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not function correctly without them.

10. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside India. Where this occurs, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place as required under the DPDP Act and applicable rules.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. The “Last Updated” date below indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
